Jacob Meetze has been attending WMPCS since 5th grade. In December, he began working to get his Private Pilot License. But before starting his pilot training, he worked at Pitt Greenville airport for five months as an assistant in an Airplane Maintenance shop, where he learned much about how planes work and how to work on one himself. Jacob then began flying at Pitt Greenville Airport for most of his training. However, he is flying at Triangle North Airport in the Raleigh area. Jacob will attend Liberty University for Aviation: Commercial/Corporate in the fall. He hopes to one-day fly jets for a corporate company or do missionary work as a pilot. Jacob says, "There is so much more that goes into flying than most people think; it takes countless nights and days studying information so you can be the best safe and most knowledgeable pilot out there; with that being said being a pilot isn't easy by any means, but my favorite part is being able to see the prop start to spin and you get up there in the air, and all your hard work has paid off." Jacob has also been a part of his local church, playing drums for the worship team and serving on the mission team since he was 14 years old.
