What is KidsFest??
KidsFest is a
special time of year for our school! For our students KidsFest is that
special day when their family can come out and see all of the hard work they
have done studying a country from all over in the world. They use their
country as a basis for many research projects, artwork, reading and writing
lessons, and cultural studies throughout the school year. At KidsFest,
as a result of all their work, the students do a class performance that will
share a dance or song, stories and artwork. The children usually take part in making their own
costumes for the performances.
The schedule for KidsFest
the afternoon of May 8th is as follows:
5:00-6:00pm Dinner served
6:00pm Parade of Flags
6:15pm Class performances
8:00pm Festivities end and clean up begins
