WMPCS is a public school open to all children with no fees or tuition. To enroll
a student an application must be submitted to the administrative office. The annual
lottery is held at an open session Board of Trustees Meeting in January before the
upcoming school year. Applicants' names are pulled at random to fill any available
slots. Siblings of currently enrolled students that have been at WMPCS the prior
year are given priority in order to ensure that brothers and sisters can attend together.
For children who do not receive a slot at lottery their names are placed on a waiting
list. Although there is no guarantee of entry into the school for someone on the
waiting list we strongly encourage all who are interested to apply and get their
child's name on the waiting list as soon as possible. Administration places children
from the waiting list throughout the summer up to and including the 20th day of the
WMPCS Day School
Washington Montessori Public Charter School also hosts a private day school for children
ages 3 and 4 years old and free public education is available beginning at age 5
(by Aug 31st of the school year). Mrs. Sandy Kennedy, the Day School Director,
can be reached at email@example.com for further information.
The Day School is a private, non profit , tuition based program and requires an application
fee. The application is available to the right of this information. Each year the
Day School offers scholarships to students who may need financial assistance.
